Covid related, sux for Visma, sux for Vingo.
Good for UAE

That's a shame. Sepp was one of my favorite riders to watch on the climbing stages and he is a genuine good guy in all respects.
Late last year, I was salivating at the prospects of getting to watch Tadej, Jonas, Remco and Primos battle it out in the TdF with the possibility of Egal Bernal knocking on the door also.
Then, that Basque Country race took out Jonas and Remco and banged up Primos quite severely. NOW, I don't see those 3 riders as anywhere near top form to where they might compete with a peaking Tadej. Just hoping the TdF won't effectively be over by the first rest day. 🤨 I hope I'm wrong.

Lee, I'd say your discussion is the most likely scenario, but with the level of talent of these guys, who knows what they may be capable of (particularly Vingo).
I'd love to see a competitive Tour.

If you watch the Netflix Unchained "documentary" from the 2023 race, Kuss was really not there. I don't think I heard his name once, even though he was pulling the train day after day in the climbs. Having him out of the race is indeed a big disappointment.

Well, last year's Vuelta sure has changed his notability I'd say.
