Uggh, glad the bike's ok.
Dumbest crash I've had (on a bicycle) involved looking to the left at an intersection for oncoming traffic and drifting into a stone bridge abutment at 25 mph plus. Didn't end well...

So...

Around 20 years ago, I was showing one of my kids how to "horse" a bike.

Unfortunately, there were these little islands in the parking lot where we were doing this, complete with trees and, more importantly, kerbs. I smacked my front wheel into one such kerb at an ureasonable velocity, and subsequently noticed bits of celeste paint floating around, and "burst" rings on the TT and DT.

*SIGH*

Stupid knows no season.

I did the "watch this" showing how well my first V brakes worked on the first ride. And by first ride I mean 50' outside the garage after the install.

MANY years ago, during my lame racing career, I for some reason was inspired to attack. I did so, and looked back to check my gap (which was pretty good). Unfortunately, when I looked back in front of me, I was headed right into a sandy shoulder. My skinny sewups did not handle the sand well.
