Wow!!! It will be interesting to see how well the implementation can be made to work. Not sure I would want to buy the first generation product as it will likely require significant modifications or bug fixes.
The system can reportedly "learn", but it might be challenge to handle day-to-day variations in a rider's style and/or physical condition. For example, if you are feeling rested and breathing freely, you might select a specific gear every time to charge up a hill on your weekly group hammer ride. However, if your leg muscles are tired that day, you might desire to select a gear or two easier to spin more, and conversely, if say the pollen count is high and you're not breathing well and HR is high, you might choose a harder gear to muscle it a little more.
