Thanks for the heads up

I shouldn’t even think about this, but it’s such a fabulous event I have to. I could probably register tomorrow as I think I donated my reg fee last year. The next question is what I could ride. Probably could do the 100k (which is more like a century in terms of difficulty). No way the 180k (by far the hardest thing I’ve done on a bike). If I worked hard, maybe the 160k, though it sounds like they haven’t finalized the route yet. When I rode it it was plenty hard, but nowhere near the 180.

Anyway I just emailed my dog sitter.

Dan C’s truck hallucination reminded me of the year I rode the 180. I pulled into the parking area around 5 am and was directed to a spot next to a truck from a cremation service. Weird on so many levels.....

Was that at the start or the end? ;-)

Timing

Actually I felt pretty good at the end. If the truck had been at the lunch stop (after 60 miles and 9500’ of climbing on dirt) I might have signed up...😂

Get ready

Dan

Looks like we have to get the Raid Rockingham ride settled to get you some prep for D2R2. Who was it on the forum in the NH seacoast area who expressed an interest in joining us?

Well

My dog sitter is booked so that’s one good reason not to do D2R2, which I should probably stay away from anyway. But I would like to do RR course so let’s find a date. It was Garvin who expressed interest, let me see if I can find a way to get hold of him. He’s a multi D2R2 180 rider and I think the Rockpile too.
