Will the Giro make it to conclusion, not end early?

Two entire teams, Mitchelton-Scott and Jumbo-Visma, have already withdrawn from the Giro due to COVID-19 positives, and there have been more positives associated with others at the race as well.

According to Eurosport, EF sent a letter to the RCS, the UCI, and teams, and others in involved in the Giro positing that “it would be better for the Giro and the UCI World Tour…(if) this be done in a systematic, holistic way versus a chaotic withdrawal on a team by team basis.”

UCI Denied request. Until such time it can look like it is their idea I am guessing...

They have gotten this far, I think they make it another 6 days.

I would venture a wild guess that they would continue with less than half the teams participating.

What is everyone's favorite website for race reports and cycling news these days?

I used to use Velonews and to a lesser extent Cyclingnews, but both have ugly website layouts now.

Those are probably the two best sites, regardless of the layout. I pay more attention to the quality of the content than the aesthetics of the sites.
