Chris King [Precision Components] Open House & Builder S

Carl had mentioned a few months ago he'd be in PDX for this. I set a Calendar reminder and rode to NE Portland to King's Location. [good excuse for a 40+ mile ride]

Last saw Carl on the move into Portland in 2011, stopped in Boseman to meet up at his previous shop.

Any who, I must be a curmudgeon in my old age. All the disc Gravel All road bike which all the vendors had on display... well I will put it like this:

♫♫They're all made to carbon tacky, and they all look just the same♫♫ [to me].

Some Ti offerings, anodized Ti is the new Orange apparently.

♫The thrill is gone♫ ??

As with road bikes, it's the details that matter. Two bikes that look very similar may ride entirely differently and be more oriented toward one end of the gravel spectrum than the other (bike packing vs. gravel racing, at the extremes).
