A million miles by bike

https://www.cyclist.co.uk/news/7352/russ-mantle-82-becomes-the-first-uk-cyclist-to-ride-1-million-miles

I'm only just over 15 years short of his age, and I'm at slightly over 1/3 of that distance, so I don't think I'm going to reach a million miles. Maybe half of that if I'm lucky.

That's impressive! I'll be lucky to hit 1/10 of that.

Long ways off

If I maintained my current annual mileage for another 20 years (highly unlikely) then I would reach ALMOST 2/3 of a million miles. Unimaginable.
