Ground Cover for yard help?
I have cleared approx 7k SF of briar and volunteer sapling clusters from the back of my lot. There were a few stumps [trees cut before we bought] that decided to become trees again, sorta. Two of them split from bad winds last month, had got to 40' tall over a few years. They were deep in the briar, were... As I get older I like having a big lot less and less. ;)
Original thought was seed it for grass. This way the mow would cut any briar that will continue it's quest as it does here.
But thinking a Juniper Ground Cover or similar may save work, gas, and atmosphere damage in the long run. The latter I mean once I finish up the burn piles.
Open to suggestions.
Side note: Wildfire season here for 2019 was the most minimal we've seen since here. That is a nice thing, until next year anyway. Last two years Very very bad.
