Helmet Camera

Remember a camera on F1 driver Michael Schumacher's ski helmet caused severe brain damage. Years later he still shows no signs of recovery. This would not be my choice.

My Kali MTB helmet has a mount that's specifically designed to allow a camera or light to pop off if it gets hit. Since I'll be using a light on my helmet a fair amount over the winter on Mtb trails, this is a key feature for me.

As for Schumacher, he hit his head on a rock at high speed, with enough force to shatter his helmet. There is some question as to whether a camera may have contributed to the damage, but he hit the right side of his head and reportedly the camera was undamaged, so it likely had no effect.
