OT: Best cellphone credit card reader system?

My daughter is going to start selling arts and crafts and needs to accept credit cards, so she needs a reader/system. I have square for my business but rarely use it and I have no idea if it is still competitive. Anybody have any feedback? The google was confusing with obvious pay to get top post offerings.

I see people using Square all the time, so apparently it's a decent system. Surely there are comparisons of the various systems online, if you search for them.

A Friend/Artist uses Square also.

Spooky? Frightening!

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I've just gotten a pop-up ad for Square. I did nothing more than read this thread; I did not google it or mention it in an email--not a thing.

That is beyond spooky and into the realm of frightening.

See if your browser has a Proxy address setup. You may well have a browser hack in place.

That pop-up is too much.

Were you using the Chrome browser?

There are other aggressive behaviors from vendors I've noticed recently. It must really be the devil for people with shopping addiction. I saw legislation proposed to ban infinite scrolling and other tools labeled by the sponsor as "addictive." Not trying to open a can of worms here, just saying that when it gets attention at that level `it's become a thing.`

Square: One YouTube tech's opinion

An NYC hardware repair guy got fed up with Square.

Your daughter's probably made her commitment, but when this appeared in my suggestions I figured I'd pass it along.
