Best solution

At least on international flights, is business class, where you are isolated in your own luxurious pod. Not as good on domestic, but still more separation. I only do this on very long flights (I am very uncomfortable in coach but I usually fly that way) but to me it’s worth every freakin’ penny (especially if you’re en route to a vacation where you’re supposed to be enjoying yourself).

If you can afford business class on a long international flight, a babbling seatmate is a minor annoyance you priced out of!

Every year, when I go back to China, I look first to business class. But I never gone business class. Because the extra cost basically doubles my trip cost! (as I’m usually visiting family, there’s relatively little other expense, flight cost is IT). Sure is nice to fly B-class on a 13 hr flight! (Got upgraded once, very addictive)

From a world champion athlete, to homeless in the rain with a fever, to trans oceanic business class. Crito we owe a rooster to Asclipeus, do not forget to pay the debt.
