Yeah, the video edit left a lot to be desired, but especially his strumming arm and some of the what, 64/4 strumming. My arm would fly off if I tried it.

Pickin' and grinnin'
I'm not a guitarist so I really can't assess technical virtuosity, but I always thought Roy Clark was great. I loved Hee Haw - Roy along with Buck Owens (another very serious talent IMHO), Grandpa Jones, the hysterical Minne Pearl (a country Lily Tomlin IMHO). That show was loaded.

And IMO as well.
And in that realm, Marty Stuart & crew. Roy Clark and the Buckaroos 'juniors', weened on the likes of them.
Shows that some of Nashville stuck with/to me I guess.

Marty
Love Marty Stuart and the Fabulous Superlatives. This gives me an opportunity to link one of my favorite You tube finds: them backing Iris DeMent singing a great Merle Haggard song. Now that is an all-world lineup....

I'll see that, and raise you this: Guests on Marty's show, the Quebe Sisters.

And while we are dropping Merle. See if you like this, the
successor to Roy Nichols Merle Haggard's backing band, Redd Volkaert and some crew. Including the excellent Cindy Cash Dollar twanging on Lap Steel.
