That's the Tues. evening series at Floyd Bennett field. I recognize the tower building, I go past it on my bike commute.
Good concept for a race course, sort of. Wide open road (well, taxi-way and runways), just bumpy as all hell if memory serves. Kept you on your toes, heh, heh !

@Dan, in all honesty none of us really set out to race in this biblical storm, the Sky's were blue when I left my house and there was maybe a 5% chance of rain in the forecast and no mention or warning of an epic storm, even when we started it was dry and the Sky's had turned grey but nothing major, then all hell broke lose, maybe 2-3 inches of rain in 10 minutes crazy lighting REALLY low and loud thunder, but you know how it is, once you get a number pinned on..... they did actually cut the race short, it was coming down so hard that you almost couldn't see anything.
@Steve Yeah that's Floyd Bennett, great place to race, wide open and always really windy since it's so open and right on the water, but the pavment sucks as they don't maintain it at all, so there are some pretty rough sections, but that just adds to the character of the race and makes it "Floyd".

Backwards
I raced the Concord Crit a couple times many years ago. Back then you made left turns.

Easier then
Going right you have the switchback downhill always a load of fun in the rain with the road paint and sewer covers.....

Training thunderstorms this afternoon. Maybe 3 in of rain in 30 min. Road was a river, driveway apron gone, 2 ft deep trenches in the gravel dw. Tomorrow will be a long tractor day.
