Pino - Where the hell do you train for a ride like that? It`s not like your country is known for their mountains. And well done!!

You never can train enough for these things with a 40 hour workweek. A holiday in the South of France 6 weeks before and a sportive in the French Vosges help. But most climbs were on Wattopia. (and I didn't do very well).

True, but at least Petey got another 20 points. The sprint point isn't until 91KM in tomorrow, so I wonder if he'll be riding in the early break over the Madeleine? I suspect not.

I think the green jersey is done and dusted.... I can't see anyone challenging, even if Either Gaviria or Groenwagon win 2 more stages, Pete is likely to get high placings in both of the sprint stages left, plus points when they will be way off the back.

I wonder what the Sky bus Tonight.

Honestly Aside from Tom D, (and to a degree Dan Martin, but he is to far back) I was really disappointed in all of the other contenders today, it would seem like Bardet, Nibali, Quintana have already conceded the race to Froome.
But it looks like we are seeing a new/true champion in the making with Tom D, man I love that guy.

I can't help but get an uneasy feeling when I see Sky dominate the way they do. It just seems too good to be true, especially when you see how fresh Thomas looked at the end. Unfortunately, we're not likely to find out if Landa is as strong as he was when he rode for them last year, due to his injuries. At least if we had that for comparison, it might make it seem less likely that Sky is doing something illegal. I really hope they don't turn out to be "US Postal 2.0".

Dumoulin is amazing and he never gives up. With a stronger team around him, he could win this thing.

These short stages are really the way to go, as riders are willing to lay it all on the line and battle it out. It's much more interesting than watching them plod along for hours with nothing happening.

That short Cat-2 today must be brutal.

Right now the Sky formation reminds me of the Renault team in the Hinault / LeMond heyday. Didn't they have like 6 of the top 10 places one year? Not that Sky will do that, but yesterday it seemed that way.

Remember the year Armstrong gave the team an extra rest day on the first day in the high mountains? He covered all the moves and his guys drove the bus.

Another awesome stage! This is the most exciting Tour in a while. I'll bet that Petey is smiling. I'm glad that Nibali was able to recover. What about the moron who took a swing at Froome?

Remember in 2015 the cup of urine tossed on Froome. I want to see someone trying to pee on him while he goes by, now that would be entertaining...

Just saw some footage from within a Sky-car going up the Alps d'Huez. Terrifying the shouting, banging and throwing going on.
Maybe some moving electric fences to protect the riders could do some good. What an idiots!

He finished the stage only 13" down, but was subsequently discovered to have fractured vertabrae, and is out of the race.

Yet another case of a rider taken down by a motorcycle! Apparently it was a cop who was trying to avoid hitting a fan, so instead he takes down a rider. Brilliant! He should have just knocked the fan on his ass, as he probably deserved it!

When are they going to do something to keep these idiots away from the riders and stop them from covering the course with smoke??? Every year it seems to get worse.

I read somewhere that a fans camera strap got wrapped around his handlebar (Ala Lance).
BTW those guys that were setting off the flares should have been arrested.

I am really bummed that Nibs is gone, even though he was quiet so far I am sure he had some big move planned fir next week.

A real shame about Nibali. The fact that he got back within 13 secs after that crash even with a fractured vertebra indicates to me that he had good legs and could have done something. They really do have to do a better job of crowd control. People with those flares or smoke bombs should be arrested. There is no call for that.

Maybe the lead vehicle needs to be a HUMVEE with snow plow blades on the front. It will be at least the full width of the road. Add a high-pressure hose on the top to nail the idiots with the flares, too.

Obviously, motorcycles are not working anymore.

Haha yeah that sounds about what it would take.
Can you imagine all the time and money that Nibali personally and the team collectively put in to getting to this point, and some bozo with a camera ruins it all in 1 second.
