OK, cycling gloves.
My last tact was to get a ton of highly discounted 20.00+ variety for like 5.00 each. I think I got 8 pairs. The last pair or two are shredding. I would get a few(er) pairs of more expensive if I thought they'd last reasonably.
Last full price set I paid like $27.00 lasted shorter than the 5.00 discounted ones.
Caveat: XXL for my bear mitts. Most XLs I can't get on my paws.

Roeckl are my favourite brand of cycling mitts. Excellent padding, they last pretty well, and come in a wide range of sizes (size 6-11 in half size increments).

I need the XXL=12 variety, like 30CM. I can not tell you how many times I have given gloves away. It is a lottery for me.

Unfortunately, Roeckl doesn't seem to have any retailers in the US, online or brick and mortar.

Yeah, treat yourself to a nice pair of gloves for the summer and snap up the bargain once the weather changes for the worse. Sometimes you have to lead by example.
