GT Ti Edge

Came across Colorado Longmont made Polished Frameset.

Anyone familiar? 1997 with original fork in near mint shape. I have a mint 7800 groupo in a box that would be perfect for this.

Ifs, ands, buts etc.

Chain stays seem small diameter, how is the bottom end, stuff like that. Being I am just shy of 100KG. [Just weighed myself, more shy than I thought ;)] 211lb, looking forward to breaking 200 in August maybe. ;)

As I understand googling, the polished ones made in CO./USA, and the satin were next production after being moved to overseas.

IIRC, my 56 cm frame is actually measures, as advertised, 56.5 cm. Not sure about small diameter chain stays, but the drive side one flares out (has a curve) to it. The fork and frame BB area are stiff. I have about 50,000 miles on the frame. I like it alot.

Since it has the original decals, as pictured, that is an indication that it has been ridden little and I think would be in mint shape. At least with the Forte, there was no clear coat above the decal and mine came off the first year of year-round/all weather riding.

Is it worth clear-coating? (easy for me to ask, multi-variables, no skin in the game)

Tire clearance...I always use 23s; 25s should be fine. Definitely dedigned for racing not touring.
