almost bought a ritchey P29er frame/fork
my fisher is 23 years old now, i'm intrigued by this whole 29er phenomena.
close to making a move on a mint ritchey frame and rockshox recon fork, but then realized i'm looking at a few $K all-in to get the bike fully kitted. nevermind the fact that i'm trying to *reduce* my fleet-size!
on the plus side, i think i accidentally found a buyer for one of my 3 steel bottecchias. maybe in a couple months, after selling off a few frames, i'll take another run at a 29er.
it does look pretty schweet!

Yeah, sweet indeed. ;) That rig with a Flex-Logic post of that prominence out of the frame be some serious cush too.
Now, are we supposed to talk to into it, or out of it??
FWIW, since I put 650b wheels on my Gary Paragon 29er I like the bike a lot better. I think even for gravel romps this may be a good choice for folks. As BB is a lot lower on a 29er with 650b than 29er/27.5/26ers etc. Save the coin on the 8CM BB drop disc 29er I say. Too late for me of course having built up the Green Strong a few seasons back. ;)
Old school, but at 26.5 lb. I see no reason to part with it.

I have maybe the oldest 29er extant. A 2002 Fisher Mt Tam set up all rigid with a White brothers Rock Solid carbon fork,
I have not ridden it in years, as I stopped mtb'ing, but I can't bring myself to get rid of it. It has the first generation low bottom bracket, which is my favorite thing about it, but that makes it not suitable for conversion to 650B because the BB would be too low.
I keep it in case I want to do a snow ride in the winter on the rail trail, but I bought a $1600 trainer that I ride in the winter, so it just hangs.
