Bluetooth/ANT HRMs

Suggestions?

Been using Polar with a CS200 for forever. Lost the chest strap pickup somehow.

Being the Trek has the Duotrap in it, looks like I will be using android/phone. Got iy working for the bike stuff, so adding a bluetooth HRM is next. Or would it be ANT/Bluetooth, or just bluetooth.

Any suggestions for Android chest strap/HRM??

Just bluetooth? Scoche are available on ebay cheap.

Ant and Bluetooth? Have been using a Wahoo for a while-like their stuff, just bought a Bolt computer that I'm happy with too...

Just bluetooth?

I figured if just talking to the Droid that would suffice. Or do I get the ANT/BT for future ANT use so when I need to use it the version of ANT is already passe. ;)

Thinking about a Polar H7, it has reverse compatibility with the CS200 I still have. Being I only have BT on the Domane and nothing else.

Garmin doesnt do bluetooth (sensors), but you're probs in the minority there...in that you don't do Garmin.

I can confirm with what Greg noted about Garmin (well, at least re. the Garmin 1000 edge).

The 1000 head unit on my bike displays Ant+ heart rate from a Nashbar dual (ant+ / BLE) HR monitor, as well as from a Garmin ant+ HR monitor.

Both these HR monitors also send signals to Zwift (which works with either ant+ or BLE).

I guess you have to figure out what type(s) of receivers (ant vs ble) you'll be using to collect/display your HR and base your choice on that?

I got the Polar H7 for 46.00 shipped. I was about to get that Nashbar one until I saw the polar for that price.

Thanks for your inputs...
