True Temper stunned the North American custom bicycle frame building industry recently with the announcement it will discontinue bicycle tubing manufacture within the next 12 months.

I missed the announcement last year...

Maybe, hopefully a US manufacturer of carbon materials will effectively be taking their place in the market to some degree, given the shift of popularity.
Even carbon tubing might be the next to move out of the market as molded frames gain further market share.
Was True Temper the only US maker of premium steel tubing for bikes?
Alcoa and Easton were doing aluminum tubes for a while.

Well, not that new. Their web site says they have been making bicycle tubing for 30 years. They are in Columbiana, Ohio which isn't very far from me. Who knew?

Anyway, they aren't a recent addition to the steel bike tubing market.
