Maybe time for Hans Solo to quit the Kessel runs...

Ford seems to crash or almost crash a lot.

My 80 year old neighbor in NJ finally struck a wing tip and prop strike before he quit and sold off the damaged 150 Cessna.

I had flown with him twice that year and he scared me, and I am not too easily scared. Glad it happened so close to the ground. He did not get too banged up, and had the good sense to call it quits.

I never got complacent flying, as I was still new and attention to every detail still way high. Especially learning in the air space under the EWR/JFK/LGA TCA airspace and so close to it always if not below it. The air port I was based out of was below it.

I had been right seat too many times when multi thousand hour pilots did stupid things. After a while I guess there is more room for complacency to set in? I never got that far...

Or have the sense to make the decision for himself and the safety of the Public.

How long ago did he lay that Bell 20#? on it's side totaling it and almost himself?

I heard the tower com recording on that taxiway landing. He kept calling in the wrong tail number, and in fact was radioing in Helo and not N##. Did he remember what he was flying is the question... Or at least a good question.

Here's to killing two birds with one stone, or commenting on the top two threads....
maybe they could make a sequel to Air Force One or better yet hire him to fly the real life one.
