OK, this is a first for me.

I ordered 3 to round out existing inventory.

In all the years/tires I have had mailed to me, this is a first and interesting too. ;)

The 3 tires out of the boxes with the the three boxes open up and flat in the mailer to facilitate lessening the cost to ship presumably.

Well allrighty then...

Kudos to them for getting creative with the shipping and passing the savings onto the consumer.

Agree. Although I resent having to put in my labor to put them back in the boxes. ;)

Mine arrived this week...

...but since I only bought 2, they were still in the boxes and just barely fit in the cardboard mailing envelope. I like the fact that they use the minimum amount of recyclable packing material necessary to get the product to me in good condition.

GP4K ii VS non 'ii' previous versions.

BTW:

Anyone else not noticing any difference between the pre 'ii' Black Chilis and the new 'ii' versions?

Empirically I mean, not reviews...

Empiricism

Empirically? Now that is a pretty high bar in this marketing driven world. While others can tell the differences between a couple of psi in tire pressure, I'm afraid I pretty much flunk that "pea under the mattress" test. I have seen little difference between the "S" and the "S ii" or whatever. Maybe that's just me.

" I have seen little difference between the "S" and the "S ii" or whatever.

No, me too. Although I do notice 5 lb pressure changes. But even @ 210 I still never go over 95 lb ever. [rear], usually 5 less front. I was experimenting yesterday with 80/85 and a touch lower with 25mm casing Michelins, 28s basically.

Also have not put enough miles on the ii to see if there may be any wear difference. Seems like 'a change' that had them wear a little faster would make u go through them faster...
