Up on the house top

Presents opened. Rollers ridden. Dinner with the granddaughters coming up. Who could ask for anything more?

Best of the season to one and all (aka, my "bike buddies").

Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays and good health to all, and particularly to Erik and his family.

And a good riding season to all as well.

My Christmas swag included a "Brooklyn NYC" t shirt with a bicycle on the front.

I am on a Christmas road trip to visit various relatives (sort of my own "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation"), currently in Baltimore. My niece, who is a strong runner (a marathon and many halfs) tells me she is feeling a little stale with running and would like to try cycling and some duathlons. I have thought since she was about 6 that she would be a natural climber, so I'll stay on her about this. Anyone know a good club in Baltimore for a beginner with some upside?

My nephew showed wisdom behind his years when I told him I was thinking about buying a bike even though I didn't really need one, and he said "But that's not the point...."
