TTF Meetup (Old Skool)

I'm in Denver and had dinner last night with Don Ferris (Anvil) and his wife Jill. Great time. Don's frame fixture business seems to be going great guns, expanding and shipping stuff all over the world. In his spare time he rides a BobCat more than a bike, clearing the understory from some land to reduce the fire hazard.

Always entertaining to talk with Don. Hadn't seen them since the Death March of '02.

I am friends with him on facebook and hes pretty active there, so I kinda knew what he was up to. Great guy.

Glad you got to meet up with him.

A lot of hotel had gone 100% non-smoking.

Many hotels I used to stay for many years, I now had to initial the line with a dollar sign (fine for smoking in the room), several hundred dollars worth.

Hello, Room Service?

I got the Munchies, man....

I was at the Sheraton Downtown, which is all nonsmoking.

Someone said there was a MJ store right behind the hotel, but I didn't see it.

The conference did include a presentation on medicinal use of MJ, from a local lawyer.

Also presentations from fed govt folks in CO who empahasized that they could not indulge as it remains a fed crime (not sure if that is an employment condition, or what).

At the airport I grabbed a burrito at a place where the staff wore t-shirts featuring a bug cannabis leaf.

I confined myself to beer and sake.
