Nibali and one sticky bottle too many

Y' hear about Vince Nibali?

DQ'd from the Vuelta.

He was chasing back after being cut off by a crash and held on to his team car for "100 meters." Astana requested a massive time penalty but were refused.

It's one thing when you're at the rear of the peloton and in the team cars or such, but at the front of a large group and accelerating away at 40 mph ?. Should've know better so Bye, Bye !

Some speculation that that was an fu move to the team for leaving him for dead...perhaps. Its a funny video, a Wile Coyote move.

They burned up about 4 guys that were trying to bring him back. It was late in the stage and the pack had the hammer down, so there was no chance of coming back.

Uh, cheater. It is one thing to draft your way back through the cars to the bunch. To grab on and take a tow like that, not cool.

Remember when Rafael Mica grabbed the Water MC and open up a gap last years TDF, and went on to win the stage... I thought that deserved relegation at a minimum, but nada...

There were no Moros around so I assume they thought no one would see. Alas, the eye in the sky.

Mechanical doping!

What's the UCI penalty for mechanical doping?

Doping is its own penalty. That is, doping as in performing a blatantly stupid act, not using PEDs.

The group, impetus drained

Sure, Nibali had the group strung out, but the collapse when he was pulled away looked like a collective "well that takes the cake!"

That guy, I admired his pluck in the TDF last year when he basically snatched the cup on the rough roads early on. He sure knows how to grab opportunity.

His lame excuses turned me off ever rooting for him...

Yabbut nobody has ever been towed as fast... :)

Seemed like the group all laid off the pedals in a collective WTF of the car even passing and coming in to the front rider. When the fook is that normal practice. And the car slowed for the dick to latch on, and I think that quick pulling in and slowing is what made them all get off the pedals. Which made the car gap look even worse..

I would have loved it it the douche maneuver made him dump...

I still think of the Rafael Mica move every time I see him in the peloton.
