Excellent Century

Rode the Maine Lobster Ride in Rockland yesterday, a great century for anyone who would like to see and ride in MidCoast Maine. One of Buycycling's 10 Best Centuries! Beautiful course, both on the coast and inland. Figure 8 that winds north through the Camden Hills with great views of Lake Megunticook, then south to Port Clyde and Marshall's Point Lighthouse. Moderately hilly, about 5,000' climbing.

Raises $ for the Bicycle Coalition of Maine, a great organization, very well organized, I think about 900 riders in the various distances. I had a good ride, felt best in the last hour.

Afterward lunch with a free lobster roll (and Rockland is the Lobster Capital of the World).

Today my legs feel like wood.

Congrats on riding a century. 5,000 feet is a lot of climbing to me, since I usually climb 0 feet antmore.

Still recovering from Shingles here, so a century is but a dream at this point.

Envy from here. But I can picture you with giant nut cracker like they use on lobster trying to get the knots out of your lobster claws for legs...

I rode on [in?] sand on the ocean edge Sat eve at sunset, a little more Crr than I am used to. ;) A bit less than a century....
