Giro D'Italia Stage 6 - spoiler alert

So the race leader suffers a double dislocation of his shoulder as a result of a crash caused by a spectator sticking his arm into the path of the final sprint in order to take a picture.

An earlier crash was caused by a bicyclist ducking under a rope and riding into the peloton.

Are spectators getting dumber?

ignorance really, not realizing while looking at the display for the pic either how far the arm is out there or what forces and proximity to the barrier is possibe and occurring...

That pic everywhere now of Daniele Colli's crash causes a cringe to be sure. Arms ain't supposed to face that direction.

I won't post it here, you can google it if you must..

But post a pic of your face while you first see it here in the thread, ;)

I think it was actually the lens of the camera that broke his arm. Those white Canon L lenses (I have a couple) are built like tanks! You can see his arm all bent and flailing around immediately after the contact and as he is crashing, before he hits the deck. Ugly whichever way you look at it.

Smashed his humerus before he hit the ground apparently. I hope there is no permanent damage, I read he said he could nit feel his arm when he was on the ground,

Is it a matter of time we see double barriers and hells angles standing guard between? ;)
