Spoiler, Jens
Jens does not normally ride the track because he does not like to lap himself!
Rock on old man. 51.115
It will hold until Spartacus gives it a go.

I forgot it was today...
Was there some rule change ??? Seeing this in some forum.
And if yes, will it have 1/2 dozen others running right after it/Jens' record ?

Ok, cool.
So would/does the UCI consider that a valid record due to two different size wheels? If I am reading the change correctly.
Was that a record, Moser?

Moser's record was valid when set some what, 25 yrs ago?
Jens ride was a nice farewell, but even Jens knows its a very temporary thing, until the guys like Cancellara and Tony Martin try it.

moser diff era, rules, etc
The dawn of superbikes. 1984. Diff wheel sizes allowed. Blood boosting allowed. Helmets optional.
Yes, record @ 51.151km. Broke merck's record set on a "normal" bike.

No, not allowed because of the different sized wheels. And Romiger's record is excluded for the same reason, which I think is a pity, as apart from the slightly different wheel sizes, his position and machine is quite legal. The UCI blew it when they outlawed the Superman position that Boardman used to beat Romiger's record but allowed Boardman's distance to stand, which is why no-one had a crack at it in the 18 or so years since.

normality is relative
eddy's "normal" bike. crazy light, but on a flat track and at those speeds i'd imagine the weight was meaningless. but it's all they knew back then. note the zipper down the back of his kit -- CRAZY AERO! ;-)
francesco's "normal" blood.
boardman's "normal" position.
