Way too close call...

Douche in his hopped up 3 series decides to pass and make the next right. I was about 22-3 MPH rolling fast with my 60 lumen blinky on too in the bike lane. I did not feel my rear skid, but my front did. No skid mark rear but one on the front.

I thought douche bag was going to tear his tires off the rims going around the turn from the nose wheelie skidding cat bird seat. Something to be said for long and low on the bike I am thinking. And all the motocross in my youth possibly...

This after the Pres of the bike club knocked my Scott over at the ride start. I actually scribbled my name off the ride sheet and went my own way.

Second time a PDX club member damaged my bike. Never happened in years of the NJ club rides, jeeeze..

What a world....

Glad you missed that meeting.

Seriously. Glad you're intact, Sparky.

Thanks...

Rather get all excited about close but no cigar to be sure. Horseshoes and hand grenades and like that...

What is it with BMW drivers?

5- something in this case. I was in the right lane about to pass a bus that was turning left and a BMW decided to jump out of the left lane to squeeze between me and the bus. I was more squeezed than the bus. I was left with maybe 3" of road between my tire and the curb.

I thought--briefly--of doing a little lock-on-window action, and then thought better of it; I had nowhere to escape to.

Still and all...there must be a shirt for BMW drivers. Ah, here it is:

Seems like especially folks with all suspension and decked out sneakers think the road is their racetrack.

I would have loved nothing better than if he lost his line around the turn and side swiped the car waiting to make the left that was waiting for me to go by...

Except that guy did not deserve it, but better a car than me on the bike, right? It was in my top two closest almosts over the years.

I had a driver pass me going around a curve the other night, tires howling, going at least 45 in a 25mph zone, on the street I used to live on.
The driver was in a newer 5-series, and parked his/her car up at the far end of the street, dashing into a house before I went by.
Well, I thought, maybe I'll know who it is when I read about some kind of mis-hap in the paper. I expect this driver may hit a parked car one day, or worse, or might just get lucky and get the ticket he/she deserves.
Enforcement here comes in waves, so I hope that soon enough this driver (along with a couple of nearby Harley owners) will be getting pulled over one evening.
