Very cool F22[?] climb out as I passed PDX today.
Just as I crossed Marine drive to get to the river side of the road, right at the end of the runway on the east threshold. After burners, the jet rotating out. Only he kept rotating and did a 10-12k climb out and leveled out at about what I would say was 70^, maybe more, not 90^ though. ;)
Short but very cool and loud event. I stopped to watch it all from basically directly below the jet, pretty cool.

Air National Guard operates out of PDX.
----
Communities near the Portland International Airport may notice noise from military jet training over the next two weeks.
PDX officials said visiting fighter jets from Luke Air Force Base in Arizona will be included in the daily training exercises performed by the 142nd Fighter Wing of the Oregon Air National Guard.

Probably just a 15 then. But from the back off angle I thought I noticed the tails on an angle..
It looked smaller than a 15 to me, but it got small fast. It was a very short event. ;)

no Eagles at Luke either. They are slowly getting some F35s but they really are not flying them much yet. I can guarantee they are not going TDY with them. All 2 or 3 of them.
A coworker just left to be part of that program and is in FL for flight school on that puffy jet now.

probably a hornet
navy/marine jet, but the tails are canted outwards and its a bit smaller than an eagle. tomcats have long been retired, anything else is foreign.
hornets also waaaay more likely to be seen in the wild than a raptor or jsf. being a coastal location, maybe makes sense too?
here's one departing, look familiar?

Probably. I saw the twin stabilizers and they seemed canted. Which is why I thought f22.
