TTF Ride

Dan Emery and I met up yesterday to ride the "Raid Rockingham" a "gravel" ride in Rockingham county New Hampshire yesterday. Great "Gravel" ride. Dan is looking very fit and was kind enough to hang back for me enumerable times. Amazing how many great dirt road there are and farms hidden up in the hills in Seacoast area of NH. Great ride and great day. Had particular fun doing the "cyclocross option" portion of the ride. Next up for the team of Emery and Hardy the two man Merckx TTT in August!

Great ride indeed

That was a great ride, kind of a mini-D2R2, and fun to do with Rick. As to hanging back, it was Apples and Oranges as I had pretty good (and fresh) legs, while Rick raced the day before. Today I am on my commuter, and can barely get the pedals around.

These "gravel grinders" seem to be a trend and are great fun with a cross bike. Also it was neat that this ride was sponsored by Indy Fab, a company I've always liked.

Sounds like great fun. I am trying to get some other crazy riders to to this. Well, 1/2 of it I was thinking.
A group in case of problems be a good idea. No cell sevice even for most of the route.

I almost forgot this

Until someone sent me the link....so there we are Dan and I in the middle of nowhere in the hills of Robert Frost Country at around the 40 mile mark and we came across this:

I thought I hadn't eaten enough and was hallucinating......

Another tale to tell about a great ride

If anyone is interested, you can get a good sense of this interesting ride from these pics:

Fourth row from the bottom, second from left, shows me (in green) and Rick (on left) grinding up the finishing "Rockenberg."
