Like the disclaimer
I wonder how much they paid to have this drafted:
"We are providing absolutely no services or support on the route. You are completely, 100% on your own. If you get hurt, your bike breaks down, etc., you are on your own to sort that out. Please be advised that the route travels through several extremely remote areas without cell service. If something goes wrong out there, you’re fucked. Know your limits and be prepared to self-rescue."

Isn't "self-rescue" an oxymoron?

Seems like a 2-3 person cycling duo/group with tools, extra tires and sensible gear choices could make a very cool effort. Food and water.. I forgot defibrillator..
My thoughts are just doing the north section of maybe 120 miles. This is all relativity near to where i live,

similar rules to the Tour Divide
A friend of mine did the Tour Divide this past year (Banff to Mexico along the Great Divide). After reading up on this and similar rides/races, the rules are pretty similar. The expectation.seems to be that you don't undertake a route like this unless you have the experience/ know how/ fitness to back it up.

Jackson Hole
It's like the sign at the top of the Jackson Hole tram:
"You could become lost. You could make a mistake and suffer personal injury or death."
A somewhat dramatic statement that translates roughly to "You could be f*#ked."
