Way too close, Whew...
Note to self. Drafting the tandem on the downhill is always fun. I never drafted one with dual 8" disc brakes though... Had to go around and almost hit a pickup going by when the captain effortlessly hauled it from 40 to me almost splattering the tail end of it.. I swear my granny is watching over me.

Ouch, that was close. Personally, I never draft anyone on a downhill.

I may be able to resist in the future when I see the huge rotors...

Draft but stretch out the gap. As the speed goes up the sweet spot behind the leader gets longer and bigger. Most of the time you end up on the brakes in an attempt to stay behind them.

get dropped
If you don't draft the tandem downhill, you're gonna get dropped for sure...
You can hang a tiny bit off to one side. I used to do that.
That way you can see what's ahead.

That thing really stopped quickly is all I can say. I should have seen the stop sooner frankly, totally not being careful enough clearly.
How is April doing, anyone?

"Sitting on"
Let 'em know you're there. Some love it, some want no part of it and will tell you to get off.

I never feel very comfortable draft at high speed. -- Said she who manage to crash on a downhill all by herself without drafting! :-(
(On a "real" downhill, there's no reason to draft anyway. It's only on rollers that you want the maximum speed to roll up the next "bump" )

Unless there is a tandem there... ;)
