Storage
Thinking about having 17 bikes, I got to wondering how and where TTFers store their bikes, especially you folks with a lot of bikes. Just curious, that's all.
We have three bikes, hanging from hooks in the garage. Kinda low-hanging, not optimal, but we have lmited space. --Roy

Do you put a car in that garage as well? We don't, one car garage and 1/2 of the bikes hanging and a few leaning ready to get hopped on. Total 9 right now, and two of those are Elaine's. So I think I got it whittled down pretty good at this point. it got tough when there where 13 in there. There is a frameset hanging too. So I do not fit into the 17 groupo I guess...

We have a two car garage into which we fit one car, three tandems, and about a dozen single bikes. One of the tandems and four or five of the bikes are usually sitting against walls ready to be ridden, the others hang on hooks along a wall.

Mine live in the basement
I've got 8 bikes, 3 framesets, 9+ sets of wheels, plus boxes of spare rims and tires, not to mention lots of other spares and old parts kicking around in various drawers and cubbies. The garage is for my car.
I think it's time to start selling some stuff...

He's about your size and needs some more. I counted 17 bikes in his basement, all his. Going to whack the bees nest here, but he moved recently and told his wife she had too much junk during the packing process. She pointed to the bikes and his reply was to storm off....
He definitely has a problem. True NABS.

There's 14 heavy bikes hanging from this $45 structure, and room for a couple more.
The key item is the set of custom-bent 2-axis hooks.
