New Bike!

I've been queued up for a Richard Sachs for quite awhile, and I had some correspondence awhile ago where Richard indicated he'd be getting to it. All the specs and measurements submitted. But I wasn't really thinking anything was imminent, then I just get an email and its almost ready to be painted!

Man I'm going to have to ramp up my riding so I don't look like a total idiot on that bike!

You dog. Just don't go out and get the kit and look like a total dork...

eBay

Probably time to sell it on eBay to some rich guy who wants to jump the queue. I hear that Vatican Euros are going for 3.5 times the face value. Imagine what a Richard Sachs could fetch with a one-week delivery!

He is that rich guy. ;)

It ain't a 41 year old paramount though... ;)

You lucky dog, how will it be dressed, color, groupo, rims etc..

FWIW, I broke a front Revolution spoke the day before yesterday, right at the butt down by the hub. Only 14 years old, better skip those... ;)

"Exactly my thought!"

Try an Emoticon after you say/type it, just saying...

Huh?

I wasn't joking. No emoticon needed.

"I wasn't joking. No emoticon needed."

Then you need some social etiquette counseling.

I'm not joking either. No emoticon needed. either....

We get un edited FUCKs all the time.

I am done with responding to you, and apologize to Dan and the thread. Consider yourself excluded from the apology...

Looking forward to seeing pictures of that bike.

Yeah, right!

You can resist responding to every single post in every single thread, and TTF will cease to be your personal blog... Ha!

It's not about Dan's bike, is it? It's all about you! You and your 14 year old Paramount!

Standard RS colors, or do you have other plans?

Thanks all

Apart from the great emoticon controversy, which I think I can settle. If "rich" is defined as "can scrape around and pay for a bicycle" then I might qualify, otherwise not so much. But it doesn't insult me. So I'd say emoticon optional. Let's let it go at that.

The bike will be the traditional red & white. I dunno know about components, I haven't even thought about road components since my last road bike in 2005. Probably Campy, might think about SRAM. I think I'll get the complete bike through Richard as a turnkey project, we'll talk about that after the frame is painted (last I knew he sent them to CA to Joe Bell).

No kit needed Greg, if I want to look dorky I'll just wear my KOM jersey (color coordinated!).

Thanks for dragging this forum down to the lowest point I've seen in all the years I've been here.

Dan-
Since we ride about the same size, can I borrow it for a few months when you get it? My Calfee is out for paint;)

There are lots of great components out there and about as many opinions on which one is best :)
You can't go wrong with Campy that's for sure.

an RS in red-white...

...simply screams for a silver component build, centaur/athena seem to be the best modern bits to fill that niche.
