great article

I had an opportunity to talk with Davis Phinney briefly at the Dempsey Challenge a couple years ago, and have seldom been so impressed with anyone. Humble, funny, genuinely interested in my prosaic cycling activities. I had the impression that you could talk with him forever and he would never mention his cycling career unless you brought it up. That inspired me to read his book, and what he has been through is astounding.

Sounds like the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

He does it right. The kid garnered a ton of fans and respect.

Three cheers for Taylor, man I hope the best for him. He had a great espoir career, maybe he'll be the first US classics guy.

Bikesnobnyc really knows how to run other people's lives.
