Time for an update
Sullivan Stadium? Wasn't that renamed back in the '80's?

you must be from away
Duncan, I guess you guys in Cape Elizabeth don't eat hake, but anyway, a quick google search revealed this comment from an internet forum which illustrates the meaning of the phrase:
"But LePage is still as numb as a pounded hake."

No we're all brie, wine and quiche down here. I've also heard "numb as a bag of rocks".
Perhaps "Numb as a LePage" will become the new standard?
Seriously though, does pounding a hake with a hammer make it more stupid?

Grits, love 'em, redeye gravy, butter.
The other day I read an article linked in the "elsewhere on the web" section some websites have. "10 foods nutritionists never eat" Grits was the worst offender, they were stated to have the glycemic index of soda pop but with a pat of butter. Sigh, I'll miss 'em.
You nor'easters crack me up.
