Wow

I hope so. My son-in-law and I have gone for the past several years and my oldest grandaughter went with us last year. The younger granddaughter wants to go this year so I certainly hope it happens.

Now that I've moved back to the Philadelphia area, it would be fun to ride down for the event again.

In early September, there's also another exciting day of cycling, involving a road race and a criterium: http://doylestownartsfestival.com/bikerace.htm

Skeptical

The race has been announced with a new management team, but without a source of funding? Wasn't the lack of funding the issue in the first place? Color me skeptical.

Perhaps, you may be right, but don't underestimate Bob Brady, the US Representative sparking the plan. He is a ward heeler kind of politician, who finds ways to get things done, like returning the Dad Vail Regatta. In Philadelphia, "pay to play" has long been the operative principle, and Brady knows who to lean on. "All politics is local."
