Strava user poll
If you use it, say so. Share so we can rag on or encourage each other.
I use it pretty much for all my exercise tracking now. It does runs and you can manually enter various workouts too.

+1 for me
Been using it since last March or so, think its great, dont care so much about the leader boards, but a great way to keep track of your own progress and also good if you ride with others that you "follow" so you can bask in the glory of your post ride trash talk.

No thanks
My Garmin already gives me plenty of data on how pathetic I am; I don't need to broadcast it on the Internet.

I have an account, but don't use it regularly. I use another on-line workout log - but would consider changing if there is a good enough reason...what do you like/dislike about it for that purpose Erik?

I like the ghetto power info. It gives me a rough estimate of my power on the climbs and joules from my rides. I don't need any extra stuff just my iPhone which is with me anyway. It also tracks runs and supports manual entries for treadmill and stationary trainer work. I can see some of the other forum folks workouts when they post them and can encourage friends that are new to the sport even ifi can't ride with them.

I use Strava but only for loose tracking of my workouts. If I fail to upload a ride/run/hike/climb/snowshoe I don't lose sleep over it. I do like to see how I'm progressing (or not) on certain segments. Not much of a KOM factor unless it's downhill or a sprint. Generally if I do earn a KOM it's only because others on the ride haven't uploaded their ride file yet!

Erik, yes, warm, had a few days in the mid 40's (110+ F) this year already, a little cooler this week. Some of the Pro's are starting to roll into town for the Tour Down Under, Jensie got here today! Hopefully the weather stays reasonable.

add one more to the list. Admittedly, I don't use it every ride and right now most of my saddle time seems to be on the trainer.

Anyone use any of the other "app-based" gps ride trackers? I've wavered from switching to mapmyride or endomondo, but was hoping to get some feedback on them first.
I've used mapmyride for planning rides before, and really like that feature on their site.

Using Strava since mid-2011. I've lost a number of good rides in that time due to glitches with the Strava Android app, but happy overall. User "sanrensho w".
Looking forward to using my Garmin 200 in place of the phone from now on.

Following request sent to both of y'all.
My android totally sucked unless for these type apps.
I am so tempted by the new 510.

My issue with the app wasn't the app, but my phone.
I couldn't get much more than 2 hrs tops out of my battery (battery was starting to go bad, but was compounded by a "known issue" with my phone), so I would have rides cut off all of the time. On top of that, with a dead battery I didn't have the use of my phone in case of emergencies. So if i was going to do a ride over 2 hours, I wouldn't bother with Strava.
New battery and a warranty replacement on the phone (actually 2 replacements) and things are starting to work better. I did a few ~2 hr rides over the holidays and still had over a 50% charge when done. I'm still watching to see if prices drop on a Garmin 500 so I won't have to worry about the phone at all.

Androids suck battery life when using their GPS. mine was useless.
