Ineos Road Rider Wins Mountain Bike Gold

Tom Piddock of Great Britain dominated the Olympic mountain bike race today. He was hit by a car on a training ride in early June resulting in a broken collar bone. Today was his first race since the accident. During the coverage Bobke said Pidcock will be doing the Vuelta. This will be his first major stage race with Ineos. Keep your eye on him.

He’s not a new star.
He has won several Rainbow Jerseys in CX. In 2020 he took 2nd in the Elite CX Worlds to MVDP.

Pidcock has also won a world junior TT title, won both the junior and espoirs versions of Paris-Roubaix, and was 2nd in Amstel Gold this year. He's also won a couple of smaller tours - remains to be seen how he goes in the big three week tour.
