Dee Wright Observatory. Sisters, OR

Made my failed Memorial Day Mckenzie Pass climb happen this morning. From place we are staying to top 16 miles. Total 2136', most in last 5 miles to observatory. Hot going up, cool at 30-40 going down.

Some Garmin Connect data shows 2136' was the actual climb of 7.4 miles. The approx 8.5 mile to the climb was a 225' from start. So my most serious climb in length to date. 5.3 mile @ Crater Lake previous length longest. But that ride had combined/cumulative ascent equaling 3800' in 24 miles. But lots of dips for recovery and momentum.

I am too fat to be a climber. Someone shoulda told me.
