Erg Video users
I was doing Alpe D'huez last night, and I actually almost turned my head to spit over the barrier down slope. I would have only spit on the pile of dried woods stickered/stacked against the wall...
Anyone still using Erg Vids? I had not been subscribed previously, just using the one title I had purchased 2015. It is after all about the stats for me.
I look at the user panel mostly, HR/Load etc.
Anyone delve into a training plan on ERG Vid?

Erg
I still ride some of the videos, Mallorca this morning. I haven’t subscribed to the online thing. I did a couple of the training plans a few years ago and found them quite effective (if you actually do the stuff of course). However I’m not riding on that level now and have no idea what the current offerings are.

I just looked at the Mallorca 1080HD ride video. O..M...G!
I'd crash out up top, I'd so be looking at the view and not my line.

Yup
Been hammering away every off season Can't recommend enough and Smelly is great with customer support
Check out the cars at the top of the Col de la Bonette (you still have to get to the top to view them though :)

You may not be aware, you can jump forward on the upper right profile image to any point, click pointer.
Not as much fun as doing it of course....
I looked quick, cool to be sure... I guess one could just coast back down if the vintage MG dies going up...
Dunno if our 78 MGB could get enough air up there, not sure I could....

I wasn't even on the bike. I actually only found out you could do that recently.

I'm moving more towards a Seiler model, so the ergs are pretty much once a week, using the harder ones (the 6x40 thing is pretty darn hard-FRC intervals) or the the tt, but I'm spending a lot of time on veloreality riding around at 50-60% for 2-3 hrs.

FRC PTSD
I’d forgotten about FRC intervals. I think it was better that way....
Actually I’m thinking of subscribing to erg and riding a bit harder. Just put in a better wireless system.

Seiler
Agree
Especially for an older rider. I am doing a LOT more base work this year. Race season ended in September took October off ( lots of recreational riding) and have been working it starting in November. At the end of the season in September did a full on Lab LT test to kick training off.
Lot of low cadence power stuff and gym work to start My CTL is nearing last season's high so for once I think I am doing this base work thing right....can't race and build at the same time...

After many years of being sorta ok, I hit a bout of chronic uselessness, may have had something to do with too many seasons of no real offseason + a dose of life stress. I've never done true "easy" days until now.
I'm not convinced that it works for average folks-I think its the bomb for those that are v02 gifted-but I was left with no choice but to do it. My hrv likes it though; I was at the point where 2 days in a row was stupid, now I feel and measure better after a 2 hr aerobic ride. We'll see when spring roles around.

Merry Christmas to me
Just subscribed. Very smooth installation. I’ll take a ride tomorrow, already rode one of my videos today. Hoping this will gene me a little inspiration to ramp it up. Hoping to get into decent shape next year. My legs are working pretty well.

Works great
Did my first streamed video ride. Worked great, no glitches, excellent video, a bit better graphics than previously IMHO. Thinking about getting into the training program/ coaching stuff.

Check out Smelly's training plans
on Training Peaks. (and if you are serious about ramping up I'd suggest utilizing Training Peaks)
Also with Smelly's TOE feature you can pick from a host of videos to do a proscribed workout...
BTW: Enjoy the FTP tests :0

"Enjoy the FTP tests"
I have been putting off the Threshold run... Today may be the last outside ride for a bit, rain coming a bit more solidly.
So time to get to getting on the threshold and pick a training plan. I honestly did not expect the plans to be as long. Nor expected to wind up with such and over lap into when I will be already riding my usual...
