Seasons greetings

Hope all are having a good Holiday. I am in Baltimore, about to get on my bike, the weather is great!

Xmas ride

We had 55 degrees in western lower Michigan yesterday and today, so I got in two rides: Christmas Day and Boxing Day (which is not an actual thing here). Here's to powering through 2020!

Even warmer than here, 46-7^ and no wind with some blue sky. Well before the eve and again today, on the way out the door....

Edit: with wind today and higher dew point, 5-7° lower felt 'a lot' colder than Monday. 12 less miles than the 37 Monday.

It isn`t often that some of you have warmer weather than me this time of the year ...or for that matter, any time of the year, but it seems such is the case now. Anyway, a wonderful holiday season to all.

Monday I stopped 6 miles in and removed the sleeves on my jacket, removed the wind stop vest under, and took my ear cover cap off for a normal bike cap. I wish I had my lighter full finger leather gloves, as steam was coming out of the cuffs of the lighter of my two winter glove pairs.

OTOH, yesterday I forwent the wind stop vest same all else. But took the full finger leather gloves with me.

About 10 miles from end of ride stopped at my retired pharmacist friends for some coffee and convo. When I left for the last leg I put on the leather full finger gloves and regular [non ear covering] bike cap. Made it 1.5 miles and stopped and went back to more serious cap and gloves. Wind coming off the river on the bank I was riding along make all the difference... brr......
