225 miles of the Stelvio

While finishing up the Stelvio yesterday for the 15th time on my trainer i started thinking about the total distance I've climbed on it.
I think its about 15 miles each time so I've done a lot of uphill miles on the Stelvio alone.

During the ToC 2 days ago Bob Roll said they had 70 miles of uphill in 1 day. Unreal.

Nice

Henceforth we will call you "Fausto."

And of course you should be driving an Alfa Stelvio.

No argument about the Alfa. I seem to remeber you had an interest in one.

Stelvio

Yeah I was considering getting (leasing?) one, but I lost enthusiasm. I went out to a dealer about a year ago, but due to a minor recall I couldn’t drive one, and I never got the motivation to go back. My A4 wagon is a good car for me and my bikes and dogs, and still runs fine, so no pressing need. I just got new tires (both snow and regular) so I guess I’m still there for awhile.

Even though there’s a dealer in Portland, I’ve only seen one Stelvio off the lot, and I check the website occasionally and they only have about 5 which seem to sit there quite awhile.
