Skiing

In (way) past years, I've been able to hook up with a few TTFers to take a few turns in Colorado or Utah. SO just putting it out there in case anyone's ski trips might overlap:

Steamboat: February 6-11 (for Winter Carnival)

Utah: February 27-March 5 (Alta, Solitude, Brighton, Snow Basin etc.)

Steamboat: March 30-April 5 - spring skiing!

If there is a chance to connect, post here and we can sort it out.

I may be up at SLC area during your late Feb timeframe. Not finalized yet. Will know more closer to the time.

Powder

Could be fun! Keep me posted. My tentative resort schedule would be Alta on Wednesday PM (AM flight), open as to where to ski on Thursday & Friday, Solitude on Saturday (lowest crowds), Alta on Sunday & Monday, Brighton on Tuesday AM (PM flight).

Kerry, I'll be at SLC Feb 23 till March 1st or 2nd (moving on to Jackson and/or Big Sky afterward, may leave on Friday).

Right now they're getting bombarded with TOO MUCH snow. Granted, 3 weeks from now weather could be anything. But should be sure of deep base at the minimum.

I have Ikon pass, which means I can ski Snowbird/Alta/Brighton/Solitude/DV. Not making any advance decision as to where on which day. Weather & condition dictates. (I will have some idea of what condition is like by the time you and your gang arrive)

I never learned to ski properly in powder. 95% of the time I was on froze/crud with shaped and cracked edge boards.

Hey April

April, firming up Utah plans - my schedule is unchanged. Arriving Feb 27, leaving March 5. Skiing the resorts as listed. Interested in connecting?
