Legendary Italo-Quebecer frame builder breaks hour record

Kudos to Marinoni (steel is real framebuilder) who recently broke the hour record for 80-84 yr old category.
>39 km!
He narrowly missed the mark last month, but succeeded on his 2nd try this month:

Cool

There is a great documentary of his earlier age group record:

Also pictured in the trailer is the great Jocelyn Lovell, who was paralyzed when hit by a car while training.

Actually, he rode on the same steel frame he built for Jocelyn Lovel 20+ yrs ago - on his first try last month - in dedication.
I think he also used the same frame this time but can't confirm right now.

And... for a solo, hour effort - likely covered a bit more distance than some of us younger, "spring chickens" on this forum as well, ;))

Definitely a goal of mine to be riding (and running) in my 80s and beyond.
