SeaSucker racks

Does anyone here have any experience with the SeaSucker bike racks? There's a few times a year that we transport our bikes on the car (usually only an hour or so out of town to the start of a ride), and I've been thinking of getting a BMW i3, which has no provision on the roof for fitting a rack.

That may well work, and maybe work well... But I gotta tell my brain say no way. ;)

Why not a traditional trunk rack? (straps instead of suction cups)
