Walter, you need to go get a New Toy so you can come back to make this a real thread! :)

No Trump...
"doublethink, the mutability of the past, and the denial of objective reality" - remind you of anyone? The first word should give a good clue to where the quote comes from.

fun cheapie mechanical watch in line with horological addiction, the movement is actually designed for pocket-watches :-)

Colnago man, Trek?
That said, I seem to recall a Ti frame project mentioned, but this is surely Moot(s).

oh, yeah...on-topic toy acqusition
...i did pick up a well-worn Dean Ti frame, so not technically "new".
sadly, it'll be a bit of a wait before i have the time/gumption to build it up. months.

Colnago man?
I suppose that could be a barrier to a Trek acquisition.
OTOH, I have 2 Colnagos and a bunch of other Italian bikes, which did not prevent me from buying a Trek. However, I am, shall we say, open to acquisition.

On the Bolt
Configuration is on the iOS/Android companion app and is easier to figure out and use then then the 810 I have.
Not sure how many screens, 6 basic but you can add custom as well, and you can configure the primary and all pages, with up to 9 metrics. Then page 2 is the map, page 3 whatever you want, etc... each page can have a custom label.
There's a huge list of things you can add to a page, dependent on how many devices are connected - Speed sensor, cadence, power, kicker trainer, lap, etc.... and you choose the order and place in the display of the metrics you use.
Page button is lower right of 3. While on a page, the 2 side buttons zoom in/out, so you can condense/expand the 9 metrics or map. I have Speed, ride distance, ride time, current time, avg. speed, temp.m and distance to next turn if following a course, currently as the primary page.
Does it auto scroll ?, not to my knowledge.
Courses/routes are generated on a few websites, Strava, etc... I use RWGPS. Create a ride off line, save then find it in maps when you boot the unit. You can also get courses created by others, such as D2R2 or whatever it's called.
Good write up here
