The 25mm Michelin casing get pretty fat on wider rims too. I find the Conti GP4Ks run similarly generous in size as the Michelins. The All Seasons not so much, a 28=26 pretty much.
Typed some of this before [all?]
23mm wide rims, GP4Ks 23=25.4, 25=27.7
I had 28 GP4Ks on the Disc Strong for the Crater Lake ride Sept/2016. 25mm wide Pacenti SL25 Rims, the tires fatted out to 31.8mm @ 85 lb.
I can not fit those 28mm Contis on any plastic road bike I have. I tried them on the Madone which has the most clearance of my plastic bikes. On 23mm wide rims they touch the calipers and front crown.
I wonder if the extra space the Domane RSL is purported to have over the regular Domane and Madone will allow those 28mm GP4Ks tires. ;)
But 27.6-7mm is wide enough for me on the 25mm Contis on 23mm wide rims.
The Old 25mm Axial Pros I have run on the 25mm wide Pacenti rims porked out to 29.2mm. I have my last few NOS Axials mounted now. Do not seem to role like the GP4Ks IMO.
