Cyclocross!

Round 3 of the world cup, at Koksijde in Belgium, was one of the best world cup races I've watched in a long time. Cold, wet, and very muddy, and the winner was in doubt until the last few metres of the race. I watched it on Eurosport, but I notice that the UCI has already put the full race coverage in HD on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJZIEx1jd0s

Those guys are fast, and make their bikes look really light when they have to carry them.

I got this message:
"The uploader has not made this video available in your country. "

...but I found this version for those with just a very quick five spare minutes:

What was runner-up Van Aert thinking, wearing a white skinsuit in a muddy cyclocross race?
...and then there was the guy with the mucous problem..., can't wait to watch that again!

I think that's his world cup leader's outfit, so he's pretty much obliged to wear it.

Another really excellent European race I watched recently on Eurosport was the Ghent six-day, particularly the last hour of the last night - a madison with the leading teams quite often on the same points and the same lap.

Coverage of that is also available on cyclingfans.com.

Thanks for the link.

Enjoyable way to spend an hour+ on the trainer.
