All sorts of mud is being slung around now.

Not defending anyone, but the practice of a rider paying a competitor a share of the winnings to help out is an old one in the sport. But this is on a more extensive and organized level, it seems to me.

paying competitor

Well I'm no expert but I've understood that to be something like so a guy will work in a break, whereas this is like fixing a prize fight.

It also seems like prosecutors are ready to go after the corruption more and more. The somewhat recent adoption in Europe of serious anticorruption and antibribery laws might have something to do with it.

I look at it and go.

Duh, even then I thought the races were bought. I thought and still think a great number of races are bought or agreed to prior to the start and some during the race.

Tennis

Soccer

Rugby

Formula 1

Motorcycles, yeah, that's a pure innocent bunch

Going after cycling is easy given the history and not going after any of the other ones is safe, given the history.

I say 'good' but spread the enforcement around and do it from the start or else the enforcement will become corrupted too.
